Genesis 1:1
👂 Listen to the Story
Genesis tells us that God created the entire universe from nothing. Over six days, He formed light, separated the waters, created land and vegetation, set the sun, moon, and stars in place, filled the seas and skies with creatures, and finally made humanity in His own image.
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
— Genesis 1:1
God speaks and light fills the darkness
Before anything else existed, there was only God. The earth was dark and empty, with water covering everything. God said, 'Let there be light!' — and suddenly light appeared! God saw that the light was good, so He named the light 'day' and the darkness 'night.' That was the very first day of creation.
