"Noah did everything just as God commanded him."
— Genesis 6:22
Noah and his family work hard to build the big boat
Long ago, most people had stopped following God and were doing bad things. But one man named Noah still loved God and tried to do what was right. God told Noah, 'I am going to send a great flood to wash away all the wrong things people have done. I want you to build a giant boat — an ark — so you and your family and the animals can be safe.' God gave Noah the exact measurements for the ark. It took many years of hard work, but Noah obeyed God and built it exactly as God said.
